Hotel FAQ
Check–in time is at 15:00 on the day of arrival, but you are welcome to arrive earlier, we can store your luggage, and you can wait for the room to be made ready at the bar or our restaurant. When guests arrive early we do everything possible to prepare the room early, however sometimes it is simply not possible. We hope you understand.
Check–out is at 12:00 noon, but if you need to check–out later, as long as we have got availability, we can extend your stay, although there is an extra charge. This needs to be arranged with our reception team as early as possible.
Is there a restaurant at the hotel?
Yes, our restaurant is called “I Restaurant”. We serve Italian dishes including three types of pizza, lasagna, parmiggiana, cannelloni, a wonderful selection of cured meats and an extensive selection of Italian cheeses.
Is there a bar at the hotel?
Yes, there is a bar at the hotel and it’s opened until late. We serve a selection of beers, including draught beers, a specially selected range of wines and a really extensive selection of whiskies from around the world. You can also enjoy fresh coffees and teas, and equally any of the restaurant food can be served in the bar if that is what you would prefer.
What is the nearest tube station?
The nearest tube station is Bayswater (Circle and District Line) which is only a 2 minutes walk away, or Queensway (Central Line), 3 minutes walk away. These mean the hotel is superbly located to enable you to reach any area of London, and also has a direct connection to the main train stations in and out of London.
How far is Paddington Station?
From a mainline point of view, Paddington Station is only a short way away, we are just one stop on the underground or 5 minutes by taxi, so extremely easy connection to London Heathrow via the “Heathrow Express” means that the total traveling time can be as little as 30 minutes to Heathrow.
What are penalty charges for no-show or late cancellation?
Late cancellation or no-show is usually levied a 1-night charge.
Is there a wireless internet at the hotel?
Yes, there is a high speed wireless internet connection available; this is via WiFi, the cost is £12.00 for 24hours and £24.00 for a week. Our wireless internet will become free of charge very soon, we have already started on the upgrade of our facility to enable us to offer this service.
Is there a parking at the hotel?
The nearest parking is on Queensway. It’s called Queensway Master Park and the charge is £24.00 for 24h.
How many rooms do you have?
The Hyde Park Towers hotel has 115 bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom.
What cards do you accept?
At the Hyde Park Towers Hotel we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express. You can also pay cash on arrival.
Can I get adjoining rooms?
Yes, based upon availability and request. We will always do our utmost to facilitate any request from our guests, however situations can change and certain things can happen that mean not every request can be fulfilled. However it is always our intention to honor all requests.
How close are you to Oxford Street?
The shops of Oxford St, Bond St and Regents St are again only a short distance away, while if you prefer Knightsbridge or Kensington, once more you are only a short bus ride or a few tube stops away. On our doorstop are areas such as the world famous Notting Hill and the wonderful shopping mall, Whiteleys, with its superb restaurants and a multi screen cinema.
What is a cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy is 48h prior to arrival, after that a one night late cancellation fee may apply.
Are there any smoking rooms?
Yes, we have got smoking rooms on the lower ground floor; the rest of the hotel is non-smoking.
I am arriving early or leaving late. Can I leave my luggage?
Yes, we can store your luggage, free of charge.
Do the rooms have air-conditioning?
No, the guest bedrooms do not have air–conditioning. However all our public areas are air-conditioned.
Are children allowed at the hotel?
Yes, if you need an baby cot please let us know when making a booking.
Will breakfast be included in the rate?
The details of what is included in your rate will be made clear in the hotel confirmation. However to add extra value to bookings made directly with the hotel, via our own website, all bookings do include Breakfast, unless a separate package is booked.
